So they start to dig, but as they dig they always miss the beautiful red diamonds. As the boys dig deeper the gems get bigger. The dog always knows where the diamonds are. After a while the boys are hungry and tired, so they went to sleep, but the dog started to dig to get to a bone. The dog dug so deep that they all fell through the ground and landed in a yard that looked like their house, but, it wasn’t.
Opinion ⅘ people in our group liked the book because the boys always missed the diamonds but the dog always knew the diamond was there. We liked when the dog found the bone and when they fell because it was cute and funny. Our wonder is how they started out in a house that is red and ended up in a blue house.
