SMACKDOWN - A Home for Bird vs. Life in the Ocean

We found these two books to be very DIFFERENT.

 The first difference we found was in the type of story itself.  Life in the Ocean was more of an expository book.  We found it less exciting to read but more helpful with learning.  A Home for Bird was a narrative story.  It was full of juicy details and fun to read.  It would be a good book to help cheer you up.

The second difference was with the illustrations.  Life in the Ocean has more sketch-like pictures and A Home for Bird has entertaining cartoon-like pictures.

The last difference that we noticed was with the amount of text.  Life in the Ocean had more writing on each page and at times it was tricky to read - almost like a tongue twister.  A Home for Bird had less text on each page and you could read it faster.

    I vote for A Home for Bird. I liked this story because it was shorter and easier to read. I preferred that A Home for Bird had many character for me to get to know, as opposed to Life in the Ocean which only focused on one character. I also had a lot of fun while reading, A Home for Bird.

    I vote for a home for bird.life in the ocean has more words and a home for bird is funny.It olso has a little writing on each page.

    I vote for A Home for Bird.I like when the frog was little funny.Mostly like the shorter reading.

    I vote for home for bird because it had some really good ficton,juicy words.Also it was a funny and entertaining for me.

      and life in the ocean is non fiction and I don't think its entertaining for me

    I vote for A Home for Bird.I really liked this book because it was funny.I laughed and laughed to that book so I vote for that book.

    I vote for a home for bird because it was funny because the main character Vernan was a little coocoo,because he talked to a coocoo bird thinking he was real. I insist a friend should read a really funny book!

    I vote for A home for bird because it is funnier then life in the ocean.It's funnier because it is just when your sad the book make's you happy.It also has a god illstration. But the life in the ocean teahes us a lot

    I vote for A Home for Bird. A Home for Bird can cheer you up when you are feeling down. The illustrations were funny.

    I vote for a Home for Bird.I liked this story because the pictures matched the text.I also liked that a Home for Bird has more cartoon like pictures.A Home for Bird was easier to read then Life in the Ocean.

    I vote for a Life in the ocean because it is a really heart touching book . The books main character Silvea grant her dream ,also setting world records in her dream job!

    I vote for A Home for Bird.It is a supercute story and there is nothing bad about it.The pictures
    were like scribles and that is very cute.

    I vote for Home for bird because of the illustrations. I really liked the characters faces expressly the frogs face( Vernon ) I also liked the jokes in the book.

    I vote for A Home for Bird. This story had less writing and had exciting, juicy details. I thought it was funny and I enjoyed reading it.

    I vote for Home for Bird, because it has less writing.Life in the ocean is more like a tong twister.The book is very funny,too.

    I Vote for A Home for Bird. Well Life in the Ocean was good too but it was less Exciting.But A Home for Bird was Exciting.So I am thinking A Home for Bird is going to WIN!GOOD LUCK A Home for Bird!
