Summary: The Uncorker Of  Ocean Bottles is a lighthearted book with beautiful artwork. It is about a man who spends most of his life delivering letters that have come in a bottle from the ocean. He wished that one day a letter would have his name on it. One morning he finds a peculiar letter that has no name on it but after searching for the person it might belong to, he find there is another meaning in the letter.

Grumpy Pants is a very, very funny book about a penguin who has trouble not being grumpy. He tries to improve his mood by taking off his clothes and splashing in the tub but there is a reason for his grumpiness that he hasn't found out about. 

Winner: 12/14 of us chose Grumpy Pants  as the winner because in our opinion, it is hilarious. We give this book a rating of 9.5/10 instead of 10/10 because some of us felt like the illustrations could have been a little bit more detailed. We do think that the illustrations help to tell the story. Especially at the end when the illustrations show the reason why he is so grumpy. I love the idea that the washing machine has different settings that can affect mood. This is a unique story and it's pretty hilarious. The reading level is good for a grade 1 or 2 level but the story is good for kids of any age.
