Summary (Last Stop On Market Street)
This book is about a boy named CJ who is asking questions to his Nana about other people and why he doesn't have all the things he sees everyone else having, such as a car. CJ's Nana tells him to open his eyes and see the real beauty in the world. This is the lesson to learn from this book. It earned 3 very important awards (Caldecott and Newberry reward/honor and the Coretta Scott King Book Award). We like this book because the illustrations match the story. Our favorite part in the book was when a guy starts playing the guitar. We think this book is a good level for grades 2 and 3.

summary (Grumpy Pants)
This book is about this penguin who is grumpy and even his clothes are grumpy. He doesn't know why he doesn't care about anything but at the end we discover the reason why he is the way he is. There isn't really any lesson to learn from this story but it is funny and entertaining. We think this book is a good level for grade 1 to 2 because it only has 2 or 3 simple sentences on every page.
                                                 And the winner is...
Grumpy Pants
We like this book. Our favorite part is when the Grumpy penguin is naked and he says, "I'm still grumpy." We like this book because the illustrations are very neat and have lots of details. Another thing we like about this book is that is has lots of juicy words. This book has no awards which is a bummer cause it is great! The story made us laugh really hard. We like this book more than the other one. It has less words but it is a very funny book. We rate this book a 9/10.
